Mug - Eucalyptus Cream
Hand-thrown stoneware mug decorated in our Eucalyptus Cream glaze combination.
Dimensions: Height: 9 - 9.5cm, Width (handle incl): 13 - 13.5cm, Diameter (not incl handle): 8cm, Capacity: 350ml (all measurements are approximate).
Due to the handmade nature of the product, please allow for slight variations in glazes and allow up to 5mm difference in size.
How it's made
How it's made
All of our ceramics are handmade in our pottery studio in Lincolnshire, UK. Each piece is created in small batches of around 20 and carefully formed over a two-day period.
Once shaped, the pieces are left to dry slowly for about a week before their first firing in the kiln at 1000°C. This firing removes any remaining moisture from the clay and permanently transforms it into ceramic.
After the first firing, each piece is glazed by hand. Depending on the design, glazes are either brushed on or the piece is dipped to achieve the desired finish. The ceramics are then fired a second time, reaching temperatures between 1220 - 1240°C.
From start to finish, a single piece can take up to four weeks to complete — a slow-made process that allows time and care at every stage.
